Lock Goblin
A downloadable game for Windows
The Locksmith must work together with the Lock Goblin to pick locks! That's how this works, right? One player uses the keyboard to platform through complex locks, while the other uses the mouse to position special tools to aid the goblin.
Goblin Controls:
- WASD: Move
- Space: Jump
- Arrows: Rotate Camera
Locksmith Controls:
- Left Click: Select/Grab Tool
- Scroll Wheel: Move tool in/out
- Right Click + Scroll Wheel: Rotate Tool
I programmed certain game mechanics & the UI for Lock Goblin. Everything else was made by these great people:

Background:
Lock Goblin was created over the course of 3-4 weeks in a rapid prototyping class. The goal was to create a asymmetrical co-op experience that was fun for both players. This game ended up with that "fun" factor being decently lopsided, with the goblin facing difficult platforming, and the locksmith having not much to do at times. Most of the fun this game spawned was players actively collaborating with each other to form plans as to how a puzzle should be tackled.
